What this wall shows — sources, context & corrections +

This is a selected collection of public customer-review photographs and accounts. Reviews can be shared across listings and marketplaces. A distinct review ID is counted once, and photographs are deduplicated by their captured-byte hash. Collection coverage is incomplete.

Visible damage, third-party accounts and inferred causes are different things. These reports have not been independently verified. A photograph does not by itself establish product identity, a defect, the cause of an injury, the seller responsible, or whether a product is recalled or non-compliant. An ASIN on a watermark records an observed listing context; it does not prove the exact purchased variant.

The map uses the country stated on a review, where available. It does not infer where an accident happened from an Amazon marketplace. The size of a marker reflects this selected evidence collection, not the incidence of ladder accidents. No fictional incident counts are mixed into this wall.

FOLO-UP is an independent public-interest product-safety initiative. We consult official UK product-safety guidance and engage with relevant authorities, consumer organisations and specialist bodies where appropriate. FOLO-UP is not a regulator.

Original captures remain in private evidence custody. This website displays existing FOLO-UP-watermarked derivatives; a watermark identifies the evidence copy and does not claim authorship of the customer's photograph. Please link to the source when referring to a case.

The base map uses public-domain Natural Earth geography. Borders are illustrative. Contact FOLO-UP about a correction or removal.
